Can you feel the love in the air? It was such a beautiful day and the perfect setting for these two lovely ladies to get engaged. When they asked me if would be available to photograph their Brighton Bandstand engagement proposal I was over the moon. One of our favorite places to go is the bandstand. Situated on the promenade with a view out over the ocean, it’s a wonderful place to watch the world go by or listen to one of the many concerts that take place throughout the year.

Brighton Bandstand is a popular spot for engagement proposals and weddings. If you’re looking for an amazing beach wedding venue by the sea, this victorian bandstand could be perfect! Beautiful and unique, The Bandstand is located on the south coast, on Brighton’s vibrant seafront in East Sussex.

 

It’s perfect for proposals because it offers stunning views of the ocean and Brighton Pier. At sunset, the colors reflecting off the water are absolutely beautiful and make for a perfect backdrop to your proposal. It was there that Katie and Lucy decided to get engaged.

Brighton Bandstand Engagement Proposals

The proposal happened in the city of Brighton, which makes it even more special. Katie and Lucy had been planning their proposal for months. They knew that Brighton Bandstand would be the perfect place to propose to each other.

It was important to them that their proposal reflected their relationship and their love for each other. “Brighton means a lot to us as an LGBTQ+ couple,” said Katie. The city has such great significance to LGBT people. It’s our favourite city in the world so to be able to get engaged there was amazing.”

The proposal took place right on the bandstand before sunset, just as the sun’s rays were beginning to fade. The light caused such an incredible glow around both of them which made stunning proposal photos. The proposal happened on the bandstand itself, they both planned to propose at the same time.

 

 

It was an emotional moment for both of them, you could see how much they love each other! “We’ll never forget this sunset proposal. It was perfect,” said the couple.

 

After they both proposed, there was a lot of kissing and happiness! It was such a romantic moment and I’m so glad that I could be there to capture it all.

Beach Huts in Hove

Soon after the proposal we went for a fun photo walk on the beach along the seafront and captured more pictures. The beach huts in Hove make the perfect backdrop for their beach proposal photos so I made sure to capture some really fun engagement photos of them.

 

 

The West Pier

You can’t beat the amazing views of the ocean and Brighton West Pier. So we continued our walk and capture even more lovely engagement photos.

The sunset creates such a romantic atmosphere and the city center lights make it even more magical. I knew Katie and Lucy would love some sparklers photos at sunset on the Brighton bandstand so I made sure to get some lovely shots of them.
